to trust their voice and own their story
as the leaders of their own lives.

The Intuitive Writing Project is a writing-based self-empowerment program for young women. We give girls a safe space to speak their truth and have it heard, to build self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-trust. The reason we write is because it's the most practical, cathartic, joyful tool for cultivating inner-strength. Writing also empowers us to choose the story we want to tell about who we are, because how we tell our story is how we live our life—and also how we change the world.

My name is Elizabeth Perlman. I am the founding director of The Intuitive Writing Project.
I created The Intuitive Writing Project because it’s what I wanted and needed when I was young. I love writing because excavates the truth—and because it empowers us to know, love, and trust ourselves, to become the authors and leaders of our own lives.

Since founding The Intuitive Writing Project in 2013, I have led over 5,000 hours of classes, workshops, and coaching sessions for teenage girls. I have also published approximately 1,500 pieces of student writing and 10 student anthologies, hosting dozens of teen readings, public readings, and community events. Through it all, I have been privileged to write with some of the most brilliant and inspiring young women on earth—all of whom have gone on to attend exceptional colleges.
The opportunity to do this work—to listen to, encourage, and support young women—continues to be the greatest honor and happiness of my life. To personalize the words of the great author and advocate Ayesha Siddiqi, everyday I strive "to be the person I needed when I when I was young."

Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to visit. I believe the most important, world-shaping job on earth is being a parent—so I'm here to support you as much as your child.

It's taken me a lifetime to find my voice, but now that I have recovered it, I want to do whatever I can to ensure that every young woman is empowered to speak her truth without fear, to change the world by simply standing in her power as the author and leader of her own life.

To talk about how I can support your child's unique interests and needs, contact me here—or just have her try a free class to see if it's a good fit!

With great appreciation,
Elizabeth
