 Story Coaching

Cultivate your authentic voice and write + publish your book

Become the author of your own story.

As I write in my book, Word Magic, to tell your story is to claim your power.

I believe that everyone has their own intuitive genius and that the process of telling our stories (and listening to the stories of others) is how we heal, learn, and grow, both individually and collectively.

In answer to the eternal question of why you should write, I believe it's about trust, trusting in the inherent sanctity of life, trusting that how you feel, what you've experienced, and what you love matters, trusting in what I call "the creative ecology of the world," that every life and every story profoundly affects and transforms everyone around them, depending on what you choose to believe and how you choose to share it.

I do this work because I believe writing is the voice of our soul—and every soul needs to speak.

There are three phases of story coaching and I can support you at any point in your process:

1

Develop your voice.

During this phase, I will guide you with tailored writing prompts and self-inquiry questions designed to draw out the stories and ideas that have been quietly simmering inside of you, waiting for you to express them. I will also help you reframe the limiting beliefs of the inner critic. As you write, I will reflect back your innate strengths as a writer, validating and supporting your strengths as you cultivate—and learn to trust—your own authentic voice, both as a writer and a creative human being.

Creative support:  $100/hour

(Set of 3 sessions:  $270)

2

Write your story.

Our stories and ideas exist wholly formed inside of us, in the immeasurable realm of intuition and imagination. Our job as writers is to make the invisible visible, to get out of the way long enough to let this genius flow through us—and then to transcribe it on paper. The first draft can be a messy, instinctive purge, but with each subsequent draft, we must become more strategic and structural, sculpting and polishing until we can read every word out loud with pride.

Story strategy session:  $100/hr.

(Set of 3 sessions:  $270)

Developmental editing:
(Prices based on 2026 Editorial Rates as listed by The Editorial Freelancers Association.

  • $50/hour for part of a story or

  • $.05/word for an entire manuscript (For example, 30,000 words = $1,500)

3

Publish your book.

When the time is right, I will guide you through the publishing process, in which you will learn about book layout and cover design using the platforms Reedsy and Canva, as well as the creation of your author website. (Note: I can design your cover and/or your website, as well; you can see some of my work here).

Finally, I will help you upload and print your book on KDP, Ingram-Sparks, and any other platform you're interested in. (You can think about whether you'd like to be published through my imprint, Trust Yourself Press, below, or to create your own.)

Publishing support:  $100/hour

  • Book cover design:  $50/hr.

  • Book layout (if you don't want to lay out your own book in Reedsy):  $30/hr.
